About The Event
Multi-award winning vocalist Millie Edwards is known around Kansas City as the “little woman with the big voice”. Her unique vocal styles and distinctive sound have endeared her to local audiences over the years. Millie has been a regular on the Kansas City Jazz and Blues circuit, performing at some of the most popular clubs in town as well as radio/television spots. Currently she can be heard at the Plaza Intercontinental, the Phoenix Downtown and B&B Theatres. Millie has performed with Kansas City’s Jazz Orchestra and for the American Choral Directors Association (ACDA) at the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts. Millie is one of Ingrams Magazine’s 50 People to Know in Missouri, and recently received Metropolitan Community College Penn Valley’s Presidential Visionary Award.
